Welcome to Bridge Medical Centre

Our aim is to provide high quality, safe, effective and compassionate care to all out patients. To work in partnership with them, their families and carers, ensuring that they are involved in all decision making regarding their care and treatment thus maintaining maximum levels of independence, choice and control.

We provide NHS medical services for approximately 11000  patients. Our team is made up of six doctors, five nurses, two health care assistants and a phlebotomist. We are ably supported by two managers, three secretarial staff and ten admin staff. In addition we have other community health practioners at the practice supporting our patients, including our Midwife, Health visitor, Mental health liaison practioner, Time to talk counsellors, Carers support worker and Fracture liaison team.

We operate out of a purpose built (December 1990) doctors surgery in Three Bridges which is located just outside Crawley Town centre. We are within walking distance of Three Bridges train Station, and on a mainline bus route. In addition we have ample parking for our patients.

Our disabled patients have full access to our building, there is an allocated disabled parking space with dropped kerbs for easy access. We have fully automated doors to the main reception area and our corridors are wide enough to accommodate wheelchair access. We are currently in the process of a refurbishment program in upgrading our facilities in line with current legislation.

The practice has been approved for both Under and Post Graduate GP and Medical Student training. Each year one or more GP registrars, who are fully qualified doctors with experience in hospital medicine, may spend some time with the practice as part of their preparation to becoming a General Practitioner. They share in all aspects of the patient care and the partners welcome their contribution to the team. Fifth  year Medical Students and FY2 doctor (Foundation Year 2) may spend time with the practice as well.

Pre-bookable appointments are now available for flu jabs. If you are elligible, please phone now to book an appointment.
It is recommended that people in the following catagories should be immunised: aged 65 or over, carers; reduced immunity, chronic lung disease (asthma/COPD), chronic kidney disease, heart disease & diabetes.

You can now book some GP appointments online up to 2 weeks ahead and order your repeat prescriptions.  To allow you access, you will need to come to the surgery and complete a form. Please bring with you photo ID (passport or driving licence) and proof of your address e g a utility bill from the last 3 months (a driving licence is not acceptable as proof of address) as for data protection we need to verify your identity before allowing you access.   You will then be asked to return to the surgery with photo ID a week later to collect your log in ID and password.

Apologies to those who are used to ordering repeat prescriptions online under the old system as you will no longer be able to do this until you complete the form and are issued with log in details.  In the near future, you will also be able to access a summary of your records and therefore we need to be very careful to ensure your identity is verified.

This service is not currently available for children under age 16, however we plan to offer this in the future.
