The Bridge Medical Centre Patient Participation Group, also known as Friends of Bridge, is a voluntary group of patients who meet with some members of the Practice team every two months (between 1pm and 2pm) to discuss ideas and improvements that can be made to benefit each other. We are led by our Chairman, Brian Champion (pictured). Our group is a member of the National Association of Patient Participation (NAPP), an umbrella group to suggest and maintain the same ethics throughout the country. The bulletins of this association are published to members of Friends.

In the past two years the PPG have been involved with several events, such as cake sales and tombola to raise funds for the Practice. They have also supported the Practice with the organisation and attendance at The Carer’s Open Afternoon and the Emotional Wellbeing Open Afternoon. These two events included exhibitors from different organisations from Crawley. The PGG talked to the patients and made introductions to the most appropriate exhibitor. They have also supported the Practice in the distribution and completion of the Patient Satisfaction Survey on an annual basis. They do not get involved in medical matters.

Friends of Bridge Medical Centre members fall into two groups, those who wish to attend the meetings, and those who prefer to be virtual members ie be kept up-to-date of activities but not participate in meetings.
